About Me

My Early Years
I was born in Budapest and grew up in the Buda Mountains. My father was a physicist and an informatics scientist, while my mother is a doctor with a keen interest in various healing methods, including herbal remedies and Chinese medicine. Both of my parents were also deeply interested in mental health, psychology, and non-violent communication.
As the youngest of four siblings, I was significantly influenced by our family traditions, such as spending every summer in the High Tatras and Austria. I have always felt completely at home in nature.
Finding my path...

My family has always been deeply involved in the community. My parents were leaders in the Regnum Marianum scout branch in Hungary, and all of us began leading groups during our school years. I loved working with both children and adults, and I especially enjoyed witnessing how people connected personally with nature and their spirituality through these experiences.

After finishing secondary school, I was thrilled to be accepted onto the Biology and Environmental Science teaching programme at Eötvös Loránd University. During my university years, I found my focus naturally shifting towards zoo pedagogy. This area offered a far greater opportunity to bring people into direct contact with nature than traditional schooling ever could. Eager to deepen my practical knowledge, I went on to complete zookeeper training at the University of Science in Szeged and also earned a degree in nature photography.
Following my studies, I spent a fulfilling five years working as a teaching assistant and animal house manager in the Anatomy Department, back at Eötvös Loránd University.

My way to forest bathing...

In 2015, my husband and I relocated to England shortly before the birth of our first child. During this period, numerous personal experiences led me to discover forest bathing. What I'd always intuitively known – that I feel most alive in nature – became a profound revelation: it's an inherent human need and a natural biological process that we all require for our well-being.

Throughout my years of motherhood with young children, I experienced just how challenging it is to find time for mental relaxation and retreat. Despite my deep love for my children, I constantly felt overwhelmed and stressed, reacting more intensely than I wished and struggling to find my balance. This, of course, is natural, given the years of sleep deprivation and the constant presence and attention small children require.
Feeling a pressing need to restore my stress levels, I began regularly practising forest bathing. I quickly felt its beneficial effects and noticed my temper would shorten whenever I missed a day.

After a year of consistent practice, I decided to complete the Forest Bathing Guide and Therapist course with the International Forest Bathing Hub. The training provided extensive opportunities to build practical experience in organising and leading groups.

Personal experience...

It wasn't long after I'd qualified as a Forest Therapist that I, unfortunately, found myself testing the method in a very real situation.
My husband developed angina. We were all actively seeking a solution to his condition, and he decided to attend a four-week group session of mine.
While I had learned a great deal about Shinrin-yoku and experienced its benefits myself, I was genuinely surprised by just how effective it proved to be for him.
By the end of four weeks, all the symptoms he'd been struggling with for three months after his episode—including high blood pressure, sleeping disorders, regular headaches, and irregular heartbeats—had completely disappeared.
And he wasn't the only one to experience such improvements in their condition.
